Bowling and Starting the Week Off Right

So last night I went bowling with my good friend Chara and our friend Aaron. With only three people it goes so much faster so we played three games in less than 2 hours and well, I didn’t win one of them.

Chara–the one to throw her first ball into someone else’s lane–won two out of the three and Aaron took the other. So I was left with nothing but the bill. 😉

Anyway, we had a good night and it was fun to get out of the house and do something different (bowling isn’t a regularity for us.) It’s just too bad I didn’t win.

On an entirely different note one of the things I enjoy most about the weekend is that it gives you a time to refresh and rejuvenate and get a hold of the bigger picture on your life. Sunday nights are one of my favorite evenings because I try to be done with all my responsibilities by then and I can do whatever I want–including preparing myself for the coming week.

It’s simple things like checking out the news, getting a good look at what the forecast will be, making sure my homework is in order for the week, reviewing any to-do’s that haven’t been done yet and even getting a good night’s sleep. It’s the little things in life that help make it more enjoyable and peaceful. And I’ll never have this week again so I want to make the most of it.

What are your ideas on how to start the week off right?

  1. Great suggestion! I really should start clearing my Sunday evenings to just relax and regroup. My week always starts off better when I don’t have any “leftover” responsibilities from the week before that I’ve put off.
